Hi all!
I am facing a strange problem trying to run Java applets on Windows NT.
Till today, both my Webserver ( the applet host) and the
client were Solaris 2.4 machines.
Today I tried to run an applet of mine from the Windows NT machine.
(Using both the appletviewer and Netscape 2b5). This had worked well with
Solaris 2.4 as the client ( both in Netscape 2b4 & appletviewer).
But with NT, the applet is not getting loaded properly. The Applet has
a Panel which in turn has many other components. But the Panel itself is
not getting added to the applet. The EventHandler of the Applet class itself is
getting all the events ( which should actually go to the Panel). Interestingly,
I do not get any Exception or error.. Simply the component is not shown.
There are 3 things I would like to point out:
1. All the classes are in the same directory on the server.
2. The appletviewer gives out messages that it's fetching all
the relevant .class files and nothing seems to be going wrong
in that part.
3. Only one of my applets is facing this problems. Others are
working fine ( on NT!)
Can someone please tell me the reason for this problem?
