Everybody:
OPEN CALL FOR REALTIME AUDIO PROJECT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!
As multimedia developers we are *very* interested in getting real audio
going for the websites we design. We are not audio professionals, but see
the potential inherent in a project of that kind and would like to join
resources with interested individuals in the L.A. vicinity.
Additionally, we are *very* interested in porting this technology to Java,
so if anybody out there has an audio background and is familiar with Java
and is interested to start a commercial development project, please let us
know. We are confident, that we could successfully compete against
RealAudio if we are able to summon the required talent. I already talked to
one individual who is very interested and even more qualified to make this
a success. I think that this project can be realized within 8 weeks and
that there is a *very* valid market to be explored, especially considering
a growing bandwith for consumers.
Alternatively I also have some ideas about simulated MIDI dispensing with
the actual MIDI hardware. I was at MacWorld the other day and talked to
some interesting people about this. Anybody with MIDI background would be a
nice addition to the team.

This goes to Arthur van Hoff:
I saw a related posting from you about a realtime audio stream but
unfortunately skipped it digging through tons of e-mail. I would like to
hear your side of the story, pointing out the current audio capabilites and
limitations of Java.
