Problem 1...
------------
The LayoutManager does not appear to recognize the height taken up by the
menu in a frame. Furthermore, one is unable to attain the height of the
menu. It would be nice if "you" put stuff in "my" frame that "you"
somehow give "me" a handle to the realestate "you" are taking from "me".
Or, the LayoutManager should take it into account.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Problem 2...
------------
The interpretation of scrollbars on the Windows OSs versus the Sun OSs
differs. It appears that the Windows box ignores my requests to change
the the "visible" attribute of the scrollbar (ie. the thumb-slider does
not change per my requests). In fact, it is alway equal to 10--I use the
Scrollbar.getVisible() method to check this. On the Sun everything appears
fine.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

The above problems make it difficult to release robust/functional applets.
Please HELP!

Paul
