Arthur van Hoff appears in Club Wired, HotWired's online chat space, on
Friday, 12 January, at 12 p.m. PST. Here's more info (including an
egregious pun NOT written by yours truly):
The Java buzz is as ubiquitous as French Roast decaf these days, but the
language itself is endorsed by programmers Net-wide as the next step in
interactivity. Java - so-named because it evokes liveliness and speed -
is the brainchild of Arthur van Hoff, a senior staff engineer at Sun
Microsystems. He's the HotJava engineering lead, has designed most of
the Java applet API, is the implementor of the current Java compiler,
and is the author of the book "Hooked on Java." Get the scoop behind
the hype, when Arthur van Hoff joins us in Club Wired on Friday, 12
January, at 12 p.m. PST (20:00 GMT).
Club Wired is at:
http://www.hotwired.com/club/
telnet://chat.hotwired.com:2428
or, via the HotJava alpha browser at
http://www.hotwired.com/java/
(Please note: If you're not a member of HotWired, you need to register.)
Hope to see you there!
