Hello All,

  I am a beginner of Java and Hotjava,would you please tell me the following:
  1.Are Java and Hotjava developed completely?
    How can we get the compiler and the manual? how to use them(free or not)?
  2.What platforms can it be used on?
  3.What are the advantages of Java against C or C++?
  4.What about the standards and syntax of Java and Hotjava?
