Topic:    Java, HotJava, Netscape 2.0, and Evolving World Wide Web Technology
Speaker:  Chris Clark, President, Internet Information Services, Inc.
Date:     Wednesday, January 10, 1996, 7 pm
Location: NIH Lipsett Auditorium, Bethesda, MD

This presentation will describe and demonstrate some of the leading-edge
technologies that will shape the next generation of World Wide Web
pages, including the Java language, HotJava browser, and Netscape 2.0
Gold browser. Java is a language and architecture developed by Sun
Microsystems which allows developing client applications which enhance
Web page information display by executing on user PCs, allowing creating
"live" Web pages which operate independently of the remote Web server.
Netscape 2.0 includes the Java technology.

Chris Clark is president of Internet Information Services, Inc., a local
full-service high-technology Internet service provider, Web presence
provider, and consultancy.  He has an extensive background in system
development on diverse hardware and software platforms.

Auto Directions:  Take Wisconsin Avenue (Rockville Pike) South from
                  Beltway about one mile. Turn right at third light
                  onto Wilson Drive. Go to stop sign and turn right onto
                  Center Drive. Follow Center Drive as it curves to the
                  left. Turn left onto Memorial Drive and then take
                  second immediate right into Clinical Center garage.
                  Take elevator to first floor.

                  Take Old Georgetown Road South from Beltway. Turn left
                  onto Center Drive. Pass in front of Clinical Center
                  (Building 10). Turn right onto Memorial Drive and then
                  take second immediate right into Clinical Center
                  garage. Take elevator to first floor.

Metro Directions: Take Red Line to Medical Center stop. Building 10
                  is approximately three blocks from the Medical Center
                  stop across the NIH campus.
