Came across an interesting bit of news (Computing, 14 Dec 95) which
stated that IBM was to license java "...for use in its World Wide
Web servers and browsers as well as in Lotus Notes ... port Java
to its OS/2 and AIX operating systems and to Microsoft Windows 3.1.
These ports will be available on the Web in the first quarter of
1996..."

I thought that porting to MS-win 3.1 was a non-starter? Would
anyone care to comment? I thought multi-threading/tasking was
a prerequisite.

In the same issue is a report that Sun's shares are now at nearly
USD 100 each compared to around USD 30 earlier this year. I think
the java team should congratulate themselves on being at least
partially to blame!
