j2c: Java to C translator alpha-002 for Solaris 2.x available
j2c is a translator from java .class to C program.
j2c generates C program from your .class to build a.out executing
without java interpreter.

javac (written with java) supplied by Sun Microsystems can be
changed to C with j2c alpha release 2. So now you can get
fast java compiler. ( please j2c -m java/tools/javac/Main )
And porting to FreeBSD under working.
