How would you use java in the following case.

I have to build a home page for a user to enter alot of information in
and the output needs to be save to a file on MY site.
First I went to try to use java os just in case the interface changes
I can make a change and the users will have the new class just but
loging into my site.
I am went to have the user use id and password be for a give he the
input page.
In Netscape i can not use the java ftp right?
Please can someone please get back to me on this.
