A colleague noticed recently that class java.awt.Button only provides an
"action" hook - you can't get (eg) mouse down/up events. I noticed that
java.awt.TextField and java.awt.TextArea don't provide access to keystrokes
(eg, sun.awt.win32.MTextFieldPeer only implents action()). Are there plans
to open this up more in a later release? Also, are there plans to generally
make other windowing events available (in order to allow for more
flexibility in UI design) ?
BTW: I'm running Java Beta 1.0 on Windows NT.
