So, I've downloaded several applets from the Netscape Navigator/Beta 2
Applets page [http://java.sun.com/applets/applets.html], compiled them
with the Win95/JDK 1.0 javac compiler, also downloaded the HTML files
from the same site which actually reference the applets, pointed my
Navigator/Beta 2 at them and I get this message is the status bar:

   "start: applet not intialized"

Also of note, the applets each execute when visiting them through Sun's
hyper-text links on the above mentioned page. I've taken the prescribed
measures, of course, placing the HTML in /html, bytecode and java source
in /html/classes. I've tried adding each of these to my system's default
path, which had no effect.

So as not to aspire to rocket science, I'll focus on just one applet:
the first in the list Bubbles.java by Rachel Gollub [rmg@eng.sun.com].
Anyone have any adivce?
