I was wondering whether anybody has experiences/ideas
concerning the following:
Is it possible in Java to have an applet, which, based
on some client side conditions (e.g. user input) would
request other applets from the server, pass them some data
and execute them?
Are there any built-in mechanisms to achieve this? Are there
any security considerations (the additional applets would
have to be loaded from the same server, but I can think
of applications where this condition would be too restrictive)?
Is anybody aware of any examples?
There are various applications for that kind of interactions:
software updates, query optimization, networked resource
discovery. Is anybody doing some development in this directions?
Jacek
