I'm trying to do some socket programing using JDK-pb1 & NS2.0, but the
SecurityManager won't let me listen on any port (that I've tried).
Does anyone know:
* If there's a way to get your own security manager put in place
somehow? I.e. if I put my SM object in the classpath first, will
it get loaded instead? And how exactly would one do this?
* Does NS plan on making this more configurable? Say, popup a dialog
and ask if it's ok to make an outgoing connection, or that it can
open a socket to listen?
Thanks in advance. My newsfeed's slow and I'm not on the list itself,
so please CC any postings to me.
