I have sunk quite a bit of time trying to create a container class for
Canvas objects which have loaded images into them. It works fine if i
stick the Canvas+ objects into the top-level Panel (the applet). I
set the size of the Canvas based on the image file, and i am able to
use various Layout's and get nice geometry handling. The problem is
when i make another layer of Container (i'm using panel, actually).
Then somehow, in the process of negotiation about geometry, my
Canvas'es lose most of their size, or all. This strikes me as a
serious bug. Do you need sample code?

P.S. Maybe you could create a separate list for reporting about bugs.
The noise ratio in this list has hit the ceiling since Netscape 2.0
was released. There's alot about the toolkit that's undocumented or
broken or both. Alot of bandwidth here seems to go to philiosophy and
gross newbie questions. Maybe you could moderate it?
