I am trying to run the appletviewer from a sparc2 networked to another
sun server. The networking is by means of nfs. Java is present on
both machines. I run appletviewer http://servername/java/demo/Fractal/
example1.html. I get a core dump. The trace indicates a segmentation
violation at java.net.InetAddress.getByName(InetAddress.java).
I am fairly certain our networking is badly messed up. But I am
also certain java shouldn't core dump. Can anyone tell me what the
problem might be?
