What are the directions currently being considered by the Java team for
native 3D within Java?
OpenGL might be a natural first choice.
Criterion's RenderWare (with it's existing cross-platform support, including
SunOS and Solaris, NT and Mac) would be an even better choice for highly
interactive applications.
Dimension X's Iced Java's status is unclear, and assumably non-standard
(compared to OpenGL), but nicely portable.
Entirely new approaches (ala AWT) would be seem to be rather expensive and
non-standard (such as Apple's Quickdraw 3D).
All replies appreciated -

As an aside - what routes are other Java+3D developers taking? (obviously
the Dimension X folks rolled their own)
