Anyone writing devguide to awt convertor?

The 'devguide' tool from Sun is a nice tool will
a well defined file format. Has anyone looked into
writing a conversion from that format to the cooresponding
awt class objects? We have a tool like this from guide to
another motif like toolkit, and is a rather straight forward
task (but I don't own the source).
Just interested, and may end up doing a simple form of this
otherwise.
