Gary,
I am not sure if you noticed the version number on either Netscape or
the Java languge. The Java suite is in PRE-BETA, that means
functionality and bug fixing are still the main issues NOT making things
"easy to install" or fixing asthetic issues.
People are expecting a finished project... Java is new, unproven, and not
even in BETA. Chill out a little and wait a while. Try to help the
developers fix problems. Complain when the product is at version 1.0, not
before.
Based on the number of corporations already using the language, the tools
to build Java applications will come faster than those for any programming
language in memory.
Sorry about the Rant but....
I saw a thread about REGEXP a while back, I can't remeber what the
outcome was. What REGEXP lib's will come with Java? Will they all be add
on lib's?
