I can't run any my own applet.

I coded from Java's home page HelloWorld.
And successfuly compiled with javac from HelloWorldApp.java to *.class
and put it into subdirectory named 'classes'.
in my HTML document, I called this applet by <app class="HelloWorld">.
But HotJava couldn't load my applet. Never!!!
But, I can enjoy with java demo, Hangman.
I can execute Hangman in my HTML doc if it is in java directory only.
Is there any needing of special setting with HotJava?
I use Windows95 and HotJava for Windows 95.
Please help me.
