Windows first tries to load a DLL from the same directory as the app,
and then looks in your Windows directory, the Windows system directory,
and finally your path directories. If you copy the Trumpet WINSOCK.DLL
file to each application directory where you want to use it instead of
the Win95 one, those applications will use it instead of the default.
Make sure you are using the 32bit Trumpet Winsock, BTW -- Java is a
32bit app.
