Yes. It is my first project.

I'd love to help you. I've been unable to convert TextBox to
prebeta1. I simply can not get the getFontMetrics call to return
anything but null.
I've been working on this since prebeta was announced. I'm not making
any progress.
I've also not been able to get a NON applet prebeta java code to open
a socket ANYWHERE.... to localhost, or anywhere.
