Hiya,
I ran into the same problem you have and am currently working with sun to
correct it. You are probably running NIS+
which uses a system call called putmsg to get host information. This call is
also implemented in the VM. It is implemented in the VM in such a way as to panic if its not properly setup with previous java code. You can forward your
