Or, looking ahead to convergence of TV and computers in the set-top-box arena,
a reasonable OS for delivery of interactive network (read cable TV) aware 
content to couch potatoes.

To do that, the system has to be very simple to use and relatively 
indestructable.  Something like an XWindows terminal for JAVA.
