Hi everyone,
For those who are into it... there's a most simple example of a
client-server Java program at my ftp site.
The sources are at:
ftp://ftp.cs.sonoma.edu/pub/Java/apps/04ClientServer.tar.
If you would, please let me know if the samples on these archives are
useful or not.
Also I have a pretty complex but good example of an application that
parses and performs queries on Unix-style transfer log files. I'll
need to spend some time documenting the objects before I put them up
so I'd like to know in advance if anyone wants to see them. For me
it was a useful exercise... since it was kind of neat to see
sysadmin-type behavior move out of the dark-ages (perl scripting) and
into an OO-environment.
later,
