One way of obtaining an Emacs style editor for Java is to translate
Edwin, the editor which runs in MIT Scheme. I wrote a fairly large
Scheme application in TI's PC-Scheme using a stripped down version of
Edwin on a 286. Edwin is pretty nice. Anyone interested in taking on
this project can find the Edwin sources at
