  Thanks for the help, I'll look into it.  I've stared at
FileInputStream.read before, but came to halt when I encountered the
fact that it's reading bytes rather than a nice string.  I'd like to
do something as simple as a "fgets(line,81,fptr);" type comment.  Do
you know how (symanitically)how this could be done??  Furthermore, I'm
having troubles creating and opening a file class and file
(respectively); What's the syntax for the file creator method??
