There will be a simple client-server app at
http://ftp.cs.sonoma.edu/pub/Java later today.
It doesn't do sockets yet but shows you how to make the connection
and use an exception handler to deal with the case when a server
isn't running.
The example will be in the 'apps' directory and called something like
04ClientServer.tar
I'll figure it out the rest soon but if any of you have any examples
please share them with me ASAP.
