There is an outstanding second RFD for comp.lang.java. (The first one
died when its sponsor stopped responding to mail.) The second RFD period
should be finished some time this week and a CFV should happen shortly
afterward. There have been about half a dozen comments to news.groups
regarding this second RFD. But because the first one was conclusively
positive, this second one is more a formality and is much shorter than
usual (7-10 days). When the CFV comes out, we'll post it to the mailing
lists.

In a message some time ago it said that a RFD was going on
for a comp.lang.java newsgroup and that it was taking place
in news.groups, but I can't seem to find *any* reference to
Java at all!! Can somebody post the place where we have to
look?
I mean, I *really* want a java newsgroup, but if nobody tells
me (us) where to join the discussion how are we ever going to
make it?
