According to the Fortune 500, Sun Microsystems is BIGGER(244 vs. 250) than
Microsoft.
Although Microsoft's market capitalization is worth approx. 40+ billion
while Sun is worth 4+ billion(but stock prices are based merely on demand).
Of course they are dwarfs to IBM, AT&T, Exxon, Ford, GM, etc..

With that in mind, I'd expect Sun to market and manage Java/HotJava better.
Is it because Sun is a hardware company who probably doesn't see much profit
potential in Java? After seeing HotJava for Win95, I'm not sure if it was a
good idea to release it so early, 'though I'm glad I'm not using that
version for long.

Why does Sun make those neat Windows/DOS(or Mac based demos) I see
Microsoft/Borland/Novell/Lotus do?
How about a few AVIs or QuickTime movies? You know, leave them DROOLing for
more..

P.S Who else other than me finds the AWT just a tad INADEQUENT for
stand-alone apps?
