If Microsoft Blackbird allows people to download OLE controls, then you
could probably turn Java into an OLE control and use the Microsoft Network
as a distribution platform for Java applets. Of course you could probably
do the opposite, too. You could create an OLE container applet in Java, and
embed OLE documents in Java applets (for display only on OLE-compatible
platforms).
I don't see a problem with that. Choice breeds competition.
