And it was decided a long time ago: no operating overloading (except
for + on Strings).

All your "two cents" is fascinating, but also rather tiresome after a
while. So why don't you just get over it, move on, keep trying Java
and marvel at how productive you can be, how easy it is to understand
the whole language and how quickly you can throw away the language
manual, and just start cranking out robust code in record time,
worrying only about how your program works, and not whether you
smashed that memory location 5 seconds, 5 minutes or 5 hours ago.

But if you can't get over the fact that your favorite language feature
isn't there, please don't tell the rest of us about it, because it's
just not an issue. Even if you think you have figured out a better
way to say it than the last 20 people.

(No offense)
