Hi All,
I'm having some problems with Thread and Applet inter-communication.....
What I need to do is pass a message (such as a String) from a Thread (that has been spawned from an Applet) BACK to its parent Applet.
My first attempt at this was to create a pipe (PipedInput/OutputStream) between each Thread (as the Applet itself is a thread), but my problem was that they would not connect to each other. I guess it was because my Applet could not find out whether the Thread has its "PipedOutputStream" open or not.
How can I do this type of "message passing" between Threads, is it possible or have I missed out on an obvious point?
