What is the point of Java? Its most unique point, byte code portability,
will surely be adopted by C++ compiler as soon as Java proves whether it
is worthwhile. After 40 odd years of compiler development, it seems a bit
late in the day to design yet another compiled language. From this point
of view the question of overloaded operators becomes moot: they are in
C++, C++ will doubtlessly adopt any unique, worthwhile features of Java,
Java will then either have to become compatible with C++ or die, hence Java
will contain over loaded operators.
