Unless I am misunderstanding you, we do have 'em. They're called "Enumerations"
(see http://java.sun.com/1.0alpha3/doc/api/java.util.Enumeration.html).
And we need 'em, since we cannot send blocks of code about a la Smalltalk.
(Mohammed, in this case, must come to the mountain.)
