RECENT NEWS:
~~~~~~~~~~~
I've stayed reasonably healthy over the last month --- knock on wood.
My United Airlines FFP total has topped 20,000 miles, accumulated in
the last 10 weeks; not sure how many more I'll fly before March 31,
which is when I've promised myself to get this job search thing
finalized by.  Now, if I only had some time to take a vacation, some
particularly idyllic spot in mind as to where to go, and finally,
someone to enjoy a vacation with, I'd be all set.
Until then, there's always thesis.
*TEMPORARILY*, I have a SkyTel pager on trial.  You can have me paged
and leave me a msg via SkyTel voice mail:
(1) Call 1-800-SKY-8888.
(2) As soon as you hear the automated menu voice start, you can enter
    my PIN 306-7667, then "#".
(3) Enter "2#" to send me a voice message.
(4) Talk after the greeting and tone, then "#" to indicate end of
    message, and then "#" to send it, and then you can hang up.
To leave me a phone number to call you back at instead of leaving me a
voice mail message:
(3) Enter "1#" for a numeric page.
(4) Enter the telephone number to call you back at, and then "#".
(5) Verify the number read back is correct; hanging up will
    send the message, entering "*" will cancel the numeric page.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that SkyTel has an Internet method
for you to send me a text message. :)  I don't believe the operator
assisted text message sending functionality is included in the free
trial, so don't use that.
Never, ever say: "I fell asleep in class"
Instead, say: "Notwithstanding the scintillating repartage concomitant
to this scholastic assemblage, intransigent preternatural biological
functions conspired to surmount my fragile resolve, plunging
consciousness beneath my direct autonomy and thus insuring a rapid
decline into somnolency."
