cat (Calista E Tait):

A man lives in the city,
Surrounded by machines
They take away his pity
And give him what he dreams
A stream of information
On a green letter screen
Makes him feel in touch with the world
Sure of what it means.

At the speed of light you are in endless night
At the speed of csound you don't see the ground
And in your sports car with the windows down
And the radio on and you don't talking
Thanks, I'll keep walking

I'm doing things in my own way
Well I'm doing things as I please
And then everything goes its own way
At the speed of life

The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause,

nosaj (Jason M Sachs):

Another suburban family morning.
Grandmother screaming at the wall.
We have to shout above the din of our Rice Krispies
We can't hear anything at all.

Mother chants her litany of boredom and frustration,
But we know all her suicides are fake.
Daddy only stares into the distance
There's only so much more that he can take.
Many miles away something crawls from the slime
At the bottom of a dark Scottish lake.

Another industrial ugly morning
The factory belches filth into the sky.
He walks unhindered through the picket lines today,
He doesn't think to wonder why.

The secretaries pout and preen like cheap tarts in a red light street,
But all he ever thinks to do is watch.
And every single meeting with his so-called superior
Is a humiliating kick in the crotch.
Many miles away something crawls to the surface
Of a dark Scottish loch.

Another working day has ended.
Only the rush hour hell to face.
Packed like lem-mings in-to shi-ny met-al box-es,
Contestants in a suicidal race.

Daddy grips the wheel and stares alone into the distance,
He knows that something somewhere has to break.
He sees the family home now looming in the headlights,
The pain upstairs that makes his eyeballs ache.
Many miles away there's a shadow on the door
Of a cottage on the shore
Of a dark Scottish lake.

Many miles away...
Many miles away... (etc.)

That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find a place
that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any.
You may *think* there is, but once you get there, when
you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write
"Fuck you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I
think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a
cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say
"Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was
born and what year I died, and then right under that
it'll say "Fuck you." I'm positive, in fact.

Adam	Graceful consort, at thy side
	Softly fly the golden hours;
	Ev'ry moment brings new rapture,
Ev'ty care is lull'd to rest.
Eve	Spouse adored, at thy side
	Purest joys o'erflow the heart;
	Life and all I have is thine;
My reward thy love shall be.
Adam	The dew-dropping morn, O, how she quickens all!
Eve	The coolness of even, O how she all restores!
Adam	How grateful is of fruits the savour sweet!
Eve	How pleasing is of fragrant bloom the smell!
Both	But, without thee, what is to me
The morning dew, the breath of even,
The sav'ry fruit, the fragrant bloom?
With thee is every joy enhanced,
With thee delight is ever new,
	With thee is life incessant bliss;
Thine, thine it all shall be.
