We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the sense and
to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and
his children smart.
  - H.L. Mencken

On the road, ZIPPY is a pinhead without a purpose, but never without a POINT.

yandros (Chad Phillip Brown):

  Work Week: over.
  Rush week: mostly over

Doing rush is kinda fun; this is the first time I've `really' done
it, including my own (and when I say `really' you have to consider
that Fenway is open-bid...). There are some really really really
cool people in the new class...

Work is `not much' still, but getting better. I'm getting along on
a document on the bug-tracking procedure, and I'm trying to figure
out how to use netprob by `brute force'. It seems that there
haven't been any user-notifications sent out about incoming bug
reports for the past Little While; this is a Very Bad Thing (TM). I
guess the document really is needed. :-)

I'm still not logging in often right now, so my response time is
going to be pretty high, especially if it's `interesting mail',
because right now I'm saving that for later; spending a first pass
dealing with quick stuff and time-sensitive stuff and culling the
junk. Don't even think about discuss or news or...

Reading is still _By The Sword_, Mercedes Lackey, and not enough of
it. Also reading some other random things as I find them...

Music is also still _Maybe You Should Drive_, BareNaked Ladies.
I've fallen in love with it. It helps that there are about 40
different music tastes around Fenway right now (and about 20
  different people :-)

Today is good; I spent a lot of time last night talking to this
amazing person, and then got to talk to another (if only briefly
  :-/) today... *ping*

--
I *really* like this song, and I can't even really put my finger on
  the reasons...

      _Jane_, BareNaked Ladies

The girl works at the store, sweet Jane St. Clair
Was dazzled by her smile while I shopped there
It wasn't long before I lived with her
I sang her songs while she dyed my hair

Jane, divided, but I can't decide which side I'm on
Jane decided only cowards stay, whlie traitors run
    Jane, Jane

I'd bring her gold and frankincense and myrrh
She thought that I was making fun of her
She made me feel I was fourteen again
That's why she thinks it's cooler if we'd just stay friends
Jane doesn't think a man could ever be faithful
Jane isn't giving me a chance to be shameful
    Jane, Jane

I wrote a letter, she should have got it yesterday
That life could be better by being together
Is what I cannot explain to Jane

The girl works at the store, sweet Jane St. Clair
Still dazzled by her smile while I shoplift there
No promises as vain as Heaven
No Juliana next to my Evan

Jane, desired by the people at her school and work
Jane is tired because every man becomes a lovesick jerk.
    Jane, Jane
