...former Vice-President Dan Quayle, whose recently published
political memoir, "Standing Firm", is filled with professions of
Evangelical faith, is also out on the hustings.

In January, he spoke at a training conference of religious-right
activists in Fort Lauderdale, whose theme was "Reclaiming America", and
before the event began he stood at attention as the crowd of more than
two thousand rose, faced a flag with a cross on it, and, with hands on
hearts, recited in unison, "I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag,
and to the Saviour, for whose Kingdom it stands, one Saviour,
crucified, risen, and coming again, with life and liberty for all who
believe."
-- "Christian Soldiers", by Sidney Blumenthal
The New Yorker, July 18, 1994, page 37

  Work schedule:

judged: program done. documentation needs a look-over and there's
a particular feature that I think might have problems still
(interesting what you think of in the shower, eh? :-)
try: launcher part done. I could do the rest the ugly way,
but I'm going to try to pull through and take a few extra
hours to convert the old vax K&R C code to an ANSI C
library of some kind. In any case, done Real Soon Now!
rpd: first order of business for bugfixing: `fix rpd'. First,
though, I have to find out why the silly thing is
             breaking...

Monday: Ultimate, after the SIPB meeting
  Wednesday: Ultimate, MIT Team pickup
  Friday: Ultimate, diskless pickup
Saturday: Patrol, We Use Nuclear Weapons!
Sunday: Biking, maybe, if I get a working bike

This leaves several slots open for: swimming, running, lifting,
volleyball, fencing, and other stuff. Make suggestions!
