I've actually seen this in real life. Certain junk mail that came to
various people in the company I used to work for was addressed to
Dr. __________, whether the person had a Ph.D. (or M.D.) or not. I
always wanted to reply with something like:
To whom it may concern:
I am returning your letter because there is no Dr. Bigler at our
company. Please update your records.

Mr. Bigler
