Well, it's started again, so I'll put in my $.02 worth.
1) If ca is here to observe people's .plan files, then asking them to change
them to fit your preference is not right. That's like asking me to omit
my .plan because you don't happen to like it's content. If you don't
like it, don't read it. If the group doesn't like it, then don't log it.
2) Richard and I came up with a regexp that would get rid of most of
the .plans with logout messages. It does search for a date string, and
for the word "log" using grep. I think it would solve your problems nicely.
If some ca maintainer would care to see it (since it's been forwarded to
/dev/null), I'd be happy to resend it. Until this is used, I suggest we
don't mail people asking them to change their personal habits since
we haven't done all we can to rectify our problem. And it really is our
problem.
