alindsay (Adam Taro Lindsay):
That is the way it is because it is that way
It is that way in that it is the way it is
In the way that it is that way that is the way it is
In the way that that is the way that is the way it is that is it is the way
Or, that it is that way is the way it is
The way it is that is the way it is
In that it is the way that it is is because it is that way
Or that it is the way that it is is the way that it is that
That is the way that it is the way that it is is the way that it is that way
I may not have enough of me but I've had enough of you
-Joanna Walton "I May Not Have Enough Of Me But I've Had Enough Of You"

Summer Address:
109 South Summit Ave.
Gaithersburg, MD 20877
(301) 258-5032
I will be working in NIST for the summer (now till August 31). For
now, the above address and phone number will be the best ways to reach
me. However, though I personally do not have an email account at NIST,
I do have access to Internet through a friend's account and will check
my email periodically.

Is simplicity the best Idle talk
Or simply the easiest And hollow promises
The narrowest path Cheating Judases
Is always the holiest Doubting Thomases
So walk on barefoot for me Don't just stand there and shout it
Suffer some misery Do something about it
If you want my love
If you want my love You can fulfil
Your wildest ambitions
Man will survive And I'm sure you will
The harshest conditions Lose your inhibitions
And stay alive So open yourself for me
Through difficult decisions Risk your health for me
So make up your mind for me If you want my love
Walk the line for me If you want my love
If you want my love If you want my love
If you want my love If you want my love
- "Judas", Songs of Faith and Devotion, Depeche Mode
-----
When in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes
I all alone beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possessed,
Desiring this man's art, and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee - and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remembered, such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
- William Shakespeare

"I can't understand you. Do you mean to say that
you...have let him live on after all those horrible deeds?
Now at any rate he is as bad as an Orc, and just an enemy.
He deserves death."
"Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live
deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you
give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death
in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."
- "The Fellowship of the Ring", J.R.R. Tolkien

Learning Can Be Fun
Chemical and Engineering News reported on "a novel means for coaxing
[chemistry] students through the drill work that many require for
mastering this discipline" -- a computer game called Nuclear Casino:
"Two students try to outwit one another by answering problems spelled
out on the screen. Depending on how well they answer questions about
radioactive elements, each student's simulated stock of plutonium either
grows or adds to the growth of his or her opponent until one of them
reaches 'critical mass' and thus loses in an explosion of light."
