Wed. Jan 13 Roxanne [PG] 26-100 7 & 10
C.D. Bayles (Steve Martin) is a popular fire chief with a
handicap--the biggest nose the world has ever seen. C.D. loves
Roxanne, Roxanne loves Chris. So C.D. writes poetry to Roxanne for
Chris. Will Roxanne find out who really wrote the poetry? Will C.D.
ever find true love? Will his hapless firefighters be able to
extinguish a match, much less a burning house? Steve Martin is at his
best in this updating of the classic "Cyrano de Bergerac" story. Also
starring Daryl Hannah as Roxanne.
Fri. Jan 15 F/X [R] 26-100 7 & 10
Rollie Tyler (Bryan Brown) is a special effects wizard hired to create a
very special effect--which turns out to be a very real murder. The
police want to arrest him, and the Mob wants him dead. Fortunately for
him, he's an Australian with lots of neat gadgets and a bad attitude,
and with the whole world seemingly out to get him, the odds are...almost
even. Also starring Brian Dennehy and Diane Venora.
