eichin (Mark W. Eichin):

Things I'm doing:
I finally brought my 486 box home (now that it has a 14Kbps
modem.) 10 serial ports, one parallel port, one builtin modem -- now
it's time to interface the house to it. Step 1: the challenge/response
alarm clock :-)

Long term:
Putting my life back together. This is turning out to be fun, actually.

Get back to practicing electric guitar.

Stamp out stupid platitudes in our life time. Start with .plan files.

Silliness:

A cow is a device for turning grass into food.

The internal combustion engine is a device for turning gasoline
	into testosterone.

One of the more important reasons to work hard and make money is to *eat well*.
Another one is to *have neat toys*.

People are biodegradable. Overpopulation is not a problem.

"Some days it just doesn't pay to go to sleep in the morning."

kagraves (Kenneth A Graves):

Sigh. Another New Year's Day passes, and I *still* haven't managed to plant
that bomb in Times Square.

rdshydur (Richard D Shyduroff):

starflt (Derrick Kong):

Big Mac Attack

In the event of nuclear attack, civil defense officials in Utica, New
York, plan to order 1,000 hamburgers and 1,000 cups of coffee from
carry-out restaurants to sustain occupants of municipal fallout
shelters.

tiuzzol (Terri Iuzzolino):

Need to get ahold of me?

I'll read email regularly while I'm gone.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Black Guardian: I will disperse every particle of your being to the furthest
  reaches of eternity!
Doctor: Well, I wish I could stay and watch you try, but you know how it
is... Places to go, people to see, things to do.

The Armageddon Factor, Doctor Who IV

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bristol: And I don't believe that we've travelled hundreds of light years.
Doctor: Why not?
You cannot travel faster than light. Einstein.
What? Do you understand Einstein?
  Yes.
What? And Quantum theory?
  Yes.
What? And Planck?
  Yes.
What? And Newton?
  Yes.
What? And Schoenberg?
  Of course.
You've got a lot to unlearn.

"Stolen a room?"
"That's the only way I can describe it."
"You see sir, in my experience, people don't usually steal rooms very much.
They may steal from rooms, but steal the rooms themselves very rarely. In
fact I think 'never' is probably the word I'm looking for here sir. I
mean where's the advantage in it? Not much of a black market in rooms.
Is there? Wouldn't get much for it.

					Shada, Doctor Who IV

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tegan: I want to get off the ship. I don't want to be rescued.
Adric: Well, make up your mind.

-------------

Adric: They must be lying or mad. Three billion people on one ship? It'd
never get off the ground.

Tegan: Of course they're mad. 100 generations on this thing, they've got to
be mad.

Doctor: She didn't talk of people, she talked of population.

Adric: Comes to the same thing.

Doctor: Sloppy thinking Adric. Do you know there are at least billion bacteria
in this chamber alone? And if a frog with a funny hairdo can turn itself
into a semblance of a human being in a matter of minutes, there isn't much
of a limit to what it can't do.

....

Doctor: I mean here we are, four days from earth on a spaceship with three
billion and three frogs. And four earthlings. Why?

....

Doctor: I'm saying that the urbankans have visited earth four times, and
taken at least one cultural representative. And this time they're coming
for good. Well, I say good... Three billion earthlings plus three billion
urbankans? I really don't think so. I really don't think so at all.

Four to Doomsday, Doctor Who V

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Controller: And you really believe that Victor Foxtrot flew into a time warp?
Doctor: Exactly, and we can't have a navigational hazard like that hanging
  about the galaxy.

-------------

Doctor in response to the cramped storage area on the Concord:
"It's amazing. This thing is smaller on the inside than it is on the outside."

-------------

Tegan: If the Doctor gives the Master a bit of the Tardis, how are we
  getting back?
Nyssa: We must be giving him a redundant circuit. You know how the
  Doctor collects spare parts.

-------------

Captain: The Doctor was absolutely right. We've been away for 140 million
  years.
First officer: What about the overtime?
Controller: You were only missing for 24 hours. And what about Victor Foxtrot?
Flight Engineer: Victor Foxtrot was never really lost.
Controller: What?
First Officer: Should be on the other side of the sewage farm.
Flight Engineer: ' must have been beside the citadel for 140 million years.
Captain: You'll just have to dig it up.

					Time-Flight, Doctor Who V

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nyssa and the Doctor have been effecting repairs to the Tardis viewscreen
which is showing empty space. The Doctor flips a switch, "Perfect."
Nyssa: "We have an audio system. But nothing to listen to."
The Doctor, turning off the viewscreen, "And now we have nothing to look at.
Couldn't be better. Peace and quiet is just what the Doctor ordered."

Arc of Infinity, Doctor Who V

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lady Isabella: Can you not help us?
Turlough: I wish I could.
Isabella's son: Can you not call on hell?
Turlough: I could. But so could you with a better chance of success, I fancy.

The King's Demons, Doctor Who V

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doctor II: I'm not too late am I?
Brigadier Leftbridge-Stewart: What for?
Doctor: For your speech as guest of honor.
Brigadier: How did you know?
Doctor: I saw it in the Times.
Colonel: That's impossible. The reporter's still here.
Doctor: Tomorrow's Times.

Doctor II: Have faith Brigadier. Have I ever led you astray?
Brigadier: On many occasions.
Doctor: This will be the exception.

Doctor V: I'm definitely not the man I was. Thank goodness.

				       The Five Doctors

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Master: You will obey me.
Peri: No.
Master: I am the Master!
Peri: So what? I'm Perpugilliam Brown, and I can shout just as loud as
  you can.

Planet of Fire, Doctor Who V

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peri: Doctor, why do you wear a stick of celery, on your lapel?
  ....
Doctor: Safety precaution. I'm allergic to certain gasses in the praxis(?)
range of the spectrum. When the gasses are present, the celery turns purple.
Peri: And then what do you do?
Doctor: I eat the celery. If nothing else, I'm sure it's good for my teeth.
