LSD Movies for the non-weekend of Nov. 31
Tue. Nov. 31 Basic Extinct [R] 26-100 7 & 10
Michael Douglas stars as a police detective trying to track down the
killer of lawyers everywhere. Sharon Stone stars as his biggest
suspect, a psycho-obsessive sex addict who is well on her way to
sleeping with and then murdering every barrister, litigator, and
attorney from Kalamazoo to Kathmandu to Timbuktu to NYU. She's clearly
guilty as hell, but the police are getting a lot of heat from people
who don't want them to do anything about it (which basically includes
everyone except for Douglas, who falls in love with one of the legal
vultures himself). This movie earned a lot of criticism for its
controversial portrayal of compassionate lawyers, but it still has
great sex scenes.

chickens at airplanes at 700 miles an hour is helping to reduce
accidents caused by jets hitting birds. Major Dennis Funnemark said
that the device, called a chicken gun, was a converted twenty-foot
cannot that shoots four-pound chickens into the engines, winshields,
and landing gear to determine how much damage such collisions can
cause."
