I think he was referring to a specific modification to fingerd on
electric-monk he could make to make it easier for Irwin and the like
to tell people when they were last logged in. The timestamp file
could theoretically be used by "lastlog" also, although there's no way
to authenticate it or anything... But it would be an option that
would have to be put in manually by someone, perhaps a single-line
addition to .login and to .logout... Instructions available
somewhere, and someone emails Irwin about it :)
Then Irwin tells all his friends to finger wamprat@electric-monk to
find out when he was last logged in, or to use lastlog :)
