jefft (Jeff Tang):

"Hey--Servo, how'd you get your arm to work?"

jik (Jonathan I. Kamens):

Things I still need and have had trouble finding:

* A griddle for pancakes and such.
* A griddle for hamburgers, with a "drainage trench" around the edge
  for grease.

    [I can't use the same griddle for pancakes and hamburgers, because
     the former have milk in them and the latter are meat, and when
     keeping Kosher, pots and pans used to cook milk can't be used for
     meat, and vice versa.]

* A tupperware container that's big enough to keep celery, green
  onions, etc. fresh.
* A honey jar with that thing wand-like thing (whatever they call it)
  for serving the honey.

    [Honey is a big thing right around Rosh Hashanah.]

* Some tablecloths.
* Flour and sugar bins.
* A cookie jar.

Things I still need and haven't gotten around to buying yet:

* A mezuzah (I'm missing one).
* A vacuum cleaner (I'm not even sure I want one of these. Decisions,
  decisions).
* More rugs.
* A toaster.
* More portable shelves for the kitchen cabinets without shelves (Not
  sure I want these, either).
* A table to put my living room lamp on.
* Trivets for putting hot pots on.
* A washing cup.
* Song books.

Moving is such a hassle....

I can't *wait* to get my first Discover bill since moving in.

therese (Therese):

        Our written history is a catalogue of crime
        The sordid and the powerful, the architects of time
        The mother of invention, the oppression of the mild
        The constant fear of scarcity, aggression as it's child

                               -- Sting
