"I was in no mood to trifle,
I took down my trusty rifle
And went out to stalk my prey-- what a haul I made that day!
I went and shot the maximum the game laws would allow,
Two game wardens, seven hunters, and a cow....
The law was very firm, it
Took away my permit,
The worst punishment I ever endured.
It turned out there was a reason,
Cows were out of season,
And one of the hunters wasn't insured...."

LAKE PLACID, Fla. (UPI) -- The kidnapping of an 8-year-old boy was
resolved when the youngster was turned over safe and sound, $250,000 in
ransom money was recovered and three of four suspects were arrested,
sheriff's officers said Tuesday.
Daniel Murphy had been taken by three men as he and his mother, Heidi
Murphy, returned to their home in the Placid Lakes subdivision Monday
morning after a visit to the doctor.
The abductors demanded $250,000 for the boy's safe return and left in
Heidi Murphy's late-model Thunderbird, investigators said.
Heidi Murphy called authorities immediately after the kidnapping and
a cooperative effort by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office, the FBI
and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement resulted in the successful
conclusion, sheriff's Capt. Ken Kreulen said.
Kreulen said Heidi Murphy told police the men were armed with a
shotgun and a machine gun.
Monday night, a call was made with instructions for a money drop,
Kreulen said.
He said the ransom was dropped at a Lake Placid convenience store as
police watched. The boy was soon released at a laundromat about two
miles away and called his mother, who picked him up unharmed.
Meanwhile, officers were watching Luis Heredia Diaz, 26, who made the
pickup of the money at the convenience store. He took the money to a
wooded area near the Archbold Biological Station in southern Highlands
County and buried it.
``After we made sure the boy was all right, we did affect the
takedown of Luis Diaz. He was taken into custody while he was operating
the vehicle used in the transfer of the money,'' Kruelen said.
Kreulen said the money was dug up and it was all there.
On the basis of an interrogation of Diaz, they arrested two other
men, Alfredo Heredia Diaz, 26, and Moises Torres, 40. Still at large was
Alberto ``Tito'' Diaz.
Each of the three was charged with armed robbery, burglary,
kidnapping, grand theft auto and aggravated assault with a deadly
weapon. Bond for each was set at $1 million.
All live in Lake Placid and are either migrant farm workers or work
for a fencing company in the area, Kreulen said.
The men had promised to take care of the boy and give him medication
for a fever, according to the child's paternal grandparents. Heidi
Murphy had just returned from a doctor's office and was carrying the
medication with her when the men accosted her, family members said.

Beethoven's gone but his music lives on
and Mozart don't go shopping no more.
You'll never meet Liszt or Brahms again
and Elgar doesn't answer the door.
Schubert and Chopin used to chuckle and
love whiles composing their long symphony.
But one hundred and fifty years later
there's very little of them left to see.
The decomposing composers.
There's nothing much anyone can do.
You can still hear Beethoven
but Beethoven cannot hear you.
H{ndel and Haydn and Rachmaninov
enjoyed a nice drink with their meal.
But nowadays no one will serve them
and their grave it is left to conceal.
Verdi and Wagner delighted the crowds
with their highly original sound.
The pianos like Pleyel does still working
but thereabout six feet under ground.
The decomposing composers.
There's less of them every year.
You can say what you like to Debussy
