Telex machine, not telix machine. And it was the Boomtown Rats that originally did it, though the Ch's do a good arrangement (well, I like it mostly because it doesn't deviate all that much from the original.) The story happened at a high school; I always liked the song because I could easily imagine it happenning at MIT.
