BIG TOWN
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
I discovered a big town
On the quest of a way
Throwing money at strangers
Taking candy from babes
Shaking hands with the big talk
As the rain came down
I thought it would not end
Sending letters to Paris
From the Empire State
Taking pictures from the top
There's a lot of things for you to do
There's a lot of dreams that won't come true
I grew up in a big town
The lessons were not hard to learn
If you want them to love you
Then you must not love them in return
Spent the night at a party
Where I drank so much
I fell under your spell
Eight o'clock in the morning
And the daylight makes me
Look and feel like hell
There's a lot of things for you to do
There's a lot of dreams that won't come true
When you live in a big town
There are sights and sounds
That make you want to cry

Subject: Lunchtime humor
Went to lunch with a friend today to a new chicken place. We asked how
they prepare their chickens.
The answer was, "We just tell them they're going to die."

appreciate it.

As threatened, err, I mean promised...
1) Cleaned my apartment. It's now fit for guests, perhaps even a
repeat house-warming party some time soon.
2) Emptied most of the boxes in my playroom. (This is major - some of
those boxes were packed when I left MIT in January 89 - 3 years later,
I'm finally going through them.)
3) I've started cooking for myself, beginning with a large ziti
casserole made entirely for the purpose of having leftovers for lunch.
