I agree with Jeff: new users should be included by default, and
should be informed about Central America via email. Many new users
don't realize that they can have a plan, and many are not sure how
to specify the correct permissions to make the plan world-readable.
Such information should be sent to new users along with some commonly
accepted guidelines to .plan etiquette (such as placing login/logout
information in the .project file instead of .plan).
I also agree that finger should display .plan files. I know that
Marc hacked fingerd.pl for such a purpose. The following will
display someone's .plan file:
finger plan.username@BEEBLEBROX.MIT.EDU
But it would still be nice if the regular finger would do the same.
